On Children
I teach high school, so yes, I like children. I will have kids in the future—as long as I’m going to keep teaching. I wouldn’t like to teach little kids, though, they kind of freak me out.
The Last Parade I Attended

It’s been many years since I’ve been to a live parade. Locally, they consist of tractors and farm equipment, fire trucks and other hometown goodness. Yeah, not my thing.
Winter Sports
Even though I live in the Great White North, I am not a snow bunny. I don’t enjoy being outdoors in the winter although when I was younger I did. I loved walking in the cold, brisk air.
My Favorite Old Movie
I like Audrey Hepburn movies—Charade and Breakfast At Tiffany’s… both are from the 60s, the early 60s. I also love Alfred Hitchcock movies.
My Definition of Wealth
Beyond cash, being wealthy is having the riches of family, friends and enjoying what you’ve got.
On Silence
I’m relatively quiet to begin with, so silence does not make me uncomfortable.

Sleep is the best way to cure a cold. And meds. And chicken noodle soup.
Lazy Days
Lazy days make me feel refreshed and unproductive, in a good way! I love having down time since my work week is crazy-busy. I like to have an afternoon of solid loafing time.

I love reality tv—Top Chef, Project Runway, the Amazing Race, American Idol and others.

I’m terrible at saving money. Terrible. I’m not in debt, I just don’t save. But I have a plan of action for the next year—when I finish paying off my car, I’m going to write a check to my savings account for that amount every month.

After having a near-death health scare six years ago, I learned to make sure that the people in my life know how important they are to me. So, no, I wouldn’t do anything differently.

I prefer the country but being closer to the city would be better than the long-distance I am now.
Mountains Versus Marathons
I’ve climbed a local mountain, not too strenuous. But I’m not a mountain climber nor am I a marathoner. Yikes!

Holiday Plans
I used to be so organized and finished with my holiday shopping before Halloween but the past couple of years I’ve struggled to be finished before Christmas Eve. I haven’t started thinking about the holidays yet! Oh boy, I better get moving!
