Stuff I Collect
I have fits and spurts of collecting kitschy stuff but my real love is scarves. I have been wearing them since college (in the 80s) and wear them when they’re in or out of style.

Scents that Evoke Memories
Clove lifesavers and Merle Norman cosmetics remind me of my mum. They don’t make the lifesavers anymore, but the scent of clove reminds me of her. I think of my childhood and all the fun my family had, before Mum died.

La Sagrada Familia
I think Sagrada FamÃlia, in Barcelona is remarkable. Everywhere you look, literally, there is something peeping back at you. It is stunning. And climbing the towers is quite a feat—there are no railings and it’s quite steep. I stopped a couple of time to get my wits around me. But it was worth it!
A Favorite Food from a Restaurant in My Hometown
Mmm…grilled sourdough ham and cheese
An awesome grilled ham and cheese sandwich can be had at the Coffee Shop. Even though it’s got a real name, my friends and family refer to it as the Coffee Shop. I had this dream sandwich just this evening, for supper!
